My incredible experience at

Hallyu Archetypal Cultural Delegation Session


Recently, I had the amazing chance to enroll in the Hallyu Archetypal Cultural Delegation programme, where I learned a great deal about the wonderful realm of Korean history and culture. It was a startling encounter that broadened my understanding and altered my viewpoint in a permanent way.


The seminar started out with an engrossing overview of the historical history of Korea, which dates back thousands of years. I gained knowledge of the dynasties, incredible accomplishments, and rich tapestry of Korean civilization. 

Each period, from the prehistoric kingdom of Gojoseon through the illustrious Goryeo and Joseon kingdoms, was essential in forming Korea's distinct identity.

Finding the hidden tales and lesser-known facets of Korean history fascinated me the most. The course revealed amazing tales of soldiers, scholars, and visionaries who made a lasting impact on Korean society through engrossing lectures and immersive presentations. It was evidence of the Korean people's tenacity and determination, which I found to be quite inspiring.


The introduction to meditation, a practice with a long history in Korean culture, was one of the class's most outstanding features. We learned a variety of meditation techniques that let us have peaceful, introspective periods. As we investigated the origins of mindfulness in the origins of Korea lie in ”Singyo(The Spirit Teaching a connection between Korean culture and meditation became clear. It served as a potent reminder of how meditation is a practice that can be used all over the world for personal development and well-being.


An incredible experience of meditation.

I discovered that meditation gave me a sense of serenity despite the busy pace of daily life, allowing me to concentrate on the present and develop an amazing sense of inner peace.


My understanding of Korean history and culture has increased as a result of taking this class, and it has also deepened my respect for the elegance and intricacy of Korean culture. It enabled me to see past the obvious and learn the true meaning of what makes Korea so exceptional. I gained a new appreciation for Korea and its people as a result of my participation in the Hallyu Archetypal Cultural Delegation class.

The meditation practice and the Hallyu Archetypal Cultural Delegation lesson were life-changing experiences that will never be forgotten by me.


Experiencing Korean History with such amazing mentors


It reaffirmed the value of intercultural dialogue and the necessity of appreciating and comprehending the rich diversity that makes up our planet. I'm glad I had the chance to take part in this educational trip, and I'm looking forward to learning more about the wonderful history and culture of Korea.


I'm appreciative that I had the chance to take such an insightful class, and I'll keep the knowledge and memories with me for a long time.

Discovering the Rich Tapestry of Korean History and Culture:   My Journey through Bukchon Hanok Village along with HACD mentors As a Korean language student, I always dreamt of immersing myself in the captivating world of Korean history, customs, and culture. Perceptibly as a beginner, I was always searching for sources to begin my journey of understanding true Korean history and culture. I feel so fortunate that I got to know about HACD (Hallyu Archetypal Culture Delegation). Through the informative sessions curated by professors and mentors, I started to understand the true essence of Korean history in depth.  South Korea in 2018; Through my Eyes      2018 for me was a very significant year. I was in my final year in highschool and my sister who I was and still am very close to, got accepted as an exchange student (교환 학생: Gyo-Hwan Hak-Saeng) to Kyungpook National University in Daegu. I was very anxious about being so far from her for almost a whole year and soon after her departure in February of 2018, I was very dejected. Fast forward to a few months later, in the month of May, my father informed us to pack our bags for travel. It was only by mid-May did I find out that we would be traveling to South Korea! I was beyond ecstatic!    2018 in South Korea was quite a hectic time as well. Earlier in the year, the country had its first talk with North Korea in a decade, at the Joint Security Area* (JSA) regarding sending its athletes to South Korea, as it hosted the Winter Olympics for that year, in Pyeongchang.
