Cheonbugyeong: The Solution to the Mystery of nature Every human in the existence has pondered upon thoughts like “Who am I?” “What is my purpose on this Earth?” Even though these questions seem impossible to answer, there exists a forgotten short but important piece in the history which can prove to be the ultimate key to these locks of the nature The Scripture of Heavenly Code, known as Cheonbugyeong, stands as the world's most ancient sacred text, imparting the profound laws of the universe through numerical principles.  “Singyo”, also referred to as "Spirit Teaching," traces its roots to Hwanguk, which proudly held the distinction of harboring the earliest known religion. This original faith subsequently influenced the emergence of various other religious beliefs. In Hwanguk, the governance of the nation revolved around divine laws derived from cosmic revelations. Jeung San Do's Central Teaching: The Later Heaven Gae-byuk

Jeung San Do's Central Teaching: The Later Heaven Gae-byuk Just as there is a year on earth, there is also a cosmic year in the universe. Over the course of an earth year, humans farm and harvest in order to survive. Over the course of a cosmic year, the universe with the earth as its focus, nurtures and harvests humanity. This cosmic year comprises 129,600 calendar years. How do we calculate the cosmic year?  Well, Earth rotates 360 degrees in one day and orbits the sun 360 degrees in a year. Therefore, earth’s annual cycle of change is expressed as 129,600 degrees (360 degrees x 360 degrees = 129,600 degrees), which spans the four seasons. This is the basis for the cosmic year of 129,600 years. Within the cosmic year, the period during which life arises and proliferates is called the Early Heaven. The period during which all life reaches completion and rest is called the Later Heaven. The Early Heaven comprises the cosmic seasons of spring and summer, while the Later Heaven encom

South Korea in 2018; Through my Eyes

South Korea in 2018; Through my Eyes      2018 for me was a very significant year. I was in my final year in highschool and my sister who I was and still am very close to, got accepted as an exchange student (교환 학생: Gyo-Hwan Hak-Saeng) to Kyungpook National University in Daegu. I was very anxious about being so far from her for almost a whole year and soon after her departure in February of 2018, I was very dejected. Fast forward to a few months later, in the month of May, my father informed us to pack our bags for travel. It was only by mid-May did I find out that we would be traveling to South Korea! I was beyond ecstatic!    2018 in South Korea was quite a hectic time as well. Earlier in the year, the country had its first talk with North Korea in a decade, at the Joint Security Area* (JSA) regarding sending its athletes to South Korea, as it hosted the Winter Olympics for that year, in Pyeongchang. Later that year, the South Korean local and by-election also took place. These ar

The Traditional Faith of Korean People and The Triune God

이미지
The Traditional Faith of Korean People and The Truine God The history of Korean people is the history of Singyo. Singyo or The Spirit Teaching, the teaching in which Korean people directly receive teachings from God and apply them as the guideline to all of their daily lives. The in depth meaning of the word Singyo is “governing the world through the will and the teachings of God by using the teachings of God as the pillar of human life.” This includes all areas of human’s life such as politics, religion, society and culture. The God that Singyo worship is the same God that Korean people have worshiped as Samsin Sangje or Sangjenim. Since ancient times, Korean people have believed that God is the root source of living beings of ‘Mother Nature’, and when God reveals Himself to the world, God functions as the Three-Spirit, the Three-God or Samsin. The term Samsin or Three-Spirit does not mean that there are three different Gods but God’s creativity works in three different ways. God rev

The Essential of Celebration of Dan Oh (단오) Festival            The Dan Oh Festival is one of the most vibrant and culturally significant events in South Korea. Celebrated annually, this festival brings together people from all walks of life to commemorate and pay tribute to the rich history and traditions of the country. Dano is a season at the start of summer that signifies a wind celebration to finish planting rice and ask for a bountiful harvest. Last June 22, 2023 The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines held an activity entitled "Danoseon 단오선 Making One Day Class" As a fan of Korean culture, I find myself captivated by this unique festival, which provides an opportunity to witness firsthand the deep-rooted customs and bonds that South Koreans share. I'll go into the significance of the Dan Oh Festival, the background to its history, and why I think it's a must-attend event for both locals and visitors.              The Dan Oh Festival is primarily celebrat

The Culture of the Seven Stars

The Culture of the Seven Stars THE BIG DIPPER The Big Dipper is an asterism formed by seven bright stars in the constellation Ursa Major.  It is one of the most recognizable star patterns in the night sky. The asterism is well-known in many cultures and goes by many other names.  In modern astronomy, the Big Dipper is divided into seven stars, from alpha (α) to the other (η), corresponding to the tail of Ursa Major.  Figure 1. NASA's Jupiter-bound Juno spacecraft tested its JunoCam instrument on one of the icons of the night sky – the Big Dipper Constellations are patterns of stars visible to the unaided eye.  Asterisms, such as the Big Dipper,  are also naked-eye star patterns, but they do not form constellations on their own.
