What is "Dao"?

Dao is the way, is something that comes before yin and yang. For our ancestors it was the beginning and the end. Everything is destined to origin from Dao and returns to it. It is a whole World that we - as humans - cannot figure out. Because of this, Yin and Yang were born.

Only understanding the importance of harmony between yin and yang, we can learn about Dao and become a Dao Master (dosa).

So, Dao is the primary truth, is what comes before yin and yang. Once we established it, we can easily understand what is "Yin" and what is "Yang".

First of all, they are the oldest principle of the universe. As we know, there are many examples of yin and yang: fire and water, man and woman, light and shadows... and so on.

Basically, these are the two forces that carries the World, and most of all… balance it!

Yin and Yang also are the bases for the five
elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water, each one represented by yin or yang. The yang represents Wood and Fire: the birth and the growth. The yin represents the metal and the water: maturity and rest. These are all connected by the Earth.
