  [2nd Session] Learning True Korean History with Hallyu Contents The second class of season 1 was amazing! We started the seminar with MC Jeonghae and MC Naya from Thailand. They read reviews from participants about the last class. Overall, the reviews were about how the information was new to the participants and how eager they are to learn more! Today’s lecturer was Ms. Son who is a translator and interpreter. She started the lecture with the Hongik Ingan ideology which means “to foster wide-reaching benefits for humanity” and the Korean history that is typically known to the world (like Gojoseon or the Korean War). Then, we watched the last episode of Mr. Sunshine. It was about the Korean Righteous Army telling about their situation to Canadian journalist, Fredrick Arthur MacKenzie. Then, we watched a clip from a movie called “A Resistance” about the March 1st Movement. We learned about the Donghak Peasant Revolution.
